FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - In lieu of the Winter Games Fort Wayne’s NBC sport reporter Chaz Frazier took to the ice to learn all things hockey with the Fort Wayne Spacemen.

Spacemen defencemen Fabien Pilon showed Chaz the ropes of a day in the life on the ice. Chaz learned how to skate, how to pass and was even given the opportunity to test out his scoring skills on a Spacemen goalie.

The Spacemen are a local Tier three Junior A hockey team that competes in the United States Premier Hockey League, playing their games at SportONE Parkview Icehouse. Players from all over the world relocate to Fort Wayne in order to develop their skills on and off the ice in pursuit of play hockey at the collegiate level.
