Spacemen traveled to Fraser, Michigan to face off against the Motor City Gamblers

October 16, 2022 Fort Wayne Spacemen vs Motor City Gamblers

October 16th the Fort Wayne Spacemen traveled to Fraser, Michigan. This is the first time the Spacemen have been up against the Motor City Gamblers this season.

Antoine Fournier started the first period off strong for the Spacemen. Fournier scored a unassisted powerplay goal at 6:04.

The Motor City Gamblers responded four minutes later, getting their first goal of the game. The first period was a strong competitive period.

Danill Prigarin scored at 17:59 in the first period making the Spacemen’s lead 2-1. Responding 50 seconds later Logan Robins gets an unassisted powerplay goal.

The Motor City Gamblers just scored one goal throughout the first period. At the end of the first period Spacemen were in the lead 3-1.

The Motor City Gamblers responded fast in the second period scoring two goals in eight minutes. Noah Maine scored an unassisted goal at 14:08 making the Spacemen’s lead 4-3.

The Motor City Gamblers scored at 17:58 making the game tied 4-4. Play continued on for about three more minutes and neither team scored to end the second period in a tie.

The third period was a fast intense game. Over 18 minutes of play in the third period and neither team scored to take the lead.

At 18:57 in the third period the Motor City Gamblers scored putting them ahead 5-4 and wining the game. Nicholas Reed was in net for the Spacemen capturing 32 saves.

The Fort Wayne Spacemen experienced two losses this weekend. The Spacemen look to regroup and prepare for their next games.
