The Fort Wayne Spacemen had an early start for a Sunday morning game. Puck drop was at 9:00am EST against the Steele County Blades.

Kyle Remo starts off the scoring for the Fort Wayne Spacemen at 7:29. This was the only goal of the first period giving the Spacemen the lead 1-0 to end the first period.

The Steele County Blades scored 7:16 in the second on a powerplay. Thomas Turgeon responds for the Spacemen at 12:13 scoring a powerplay goal.

Turgeon’s goal gave the Spacemen the 2-1 lead. The Steele County Blades tied the game at 15:43. Remo scores his second of the game at 16:16 in the second period giving the Spacemen a 3-2 to end the second period.

The third period was competitive between both teams. The Steele County Blades scored their third of the game at 15:38 in the third period.

The Spacemen couldn’t get one on the board with less than five minutes left in the third period. With the game tied 3-3 at the end of the third period the game went into overtime.

Overtime was played with three on three for a five-minute period. Both teams were given multiple chances to score.

Sam Tetreault scored the overtime goal for the Spacemen at 3:55! Bryce Dunnigan made 33 saves throughout the game.

The Fort Wayne Spacemen beat the Steele County Blades 4-3! The Spacemen have their last game of the Detroit Showcase at 3:30pm EST on Sunday.
