The Fort Wayne Spacemen focus on player development, both on and off the ice, aims to prepare our players to achieve their goals of playing at the next level of Juniors and Collegiate hockey.

Position: Defense

Fort Wayne Spacemen Defenseman Noe Perez has committed to play hockey for the D3 University of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils  for the 2021-2022 season.

"I'm thrilled for Noe and expect big things from him at the NCAA D3 level. He is a player that I think will contribute as a freshman and will develop into a professional hockey player. He was a pleasure to coach and I know Wisconsin Stout will be satisfied when they learn more about what type of person Noe is off the ice as well." Coach Schrock

Season: 2019-2020, 2020-2021

Position:  Forward

Fort Wayne Spacemen Forward Jack Huffman has committed to play hockey for the ACHA Division II Bowling Green State University Falcons  for the 2021-2022 season.

Huffman, a Fort Wayne native, plans on studying social studies education at Bowling Green State. Huffman has been with the Spacemen since their inception in the 2019-2020 season.

“Jack has been hands down our hardest working player on the ice the last two years. I admire the way he plays the game and balances hockey with school. If we had 25 Jack Huffman’s every season it would make recruiting a heck of a lot easier” says Spacemen Head Coach Kaleigh Schrock.

Season: 2019-2020, 2020-2021

Position:  Defense

Fort Wayne Spacemen Defenseman Dylan Marks has committed to play hockey at the University of Cincinnati (facebook page) for the 2021-2022 season. Cincinnati is an independent member of the ACHA Division II.

Marks, a Fort Wayne native, has been with the Spacemen since their inception in the 2019-2020 season, playing for the Spacemen full time in 2020-2021 and splitting time between his high school team and the Spacemen the season prior.

Spacemen Head Coach Kaleigh Schrock says “We are thrilled for Dylan and his opportunity to continue his hockey career as a Cincinnati Bearcat! As a 2003 birth year Dylan has shown he’s ready for college hockey. He’s cagey, reads the play well, and can play both forward and defense. I’m proud that a Fort Wayne high school player made his mark with the Spacemen and now will continue that success earning a degree while playing hockey.”

Jared Fisher

Season: 2019-2020, 2020-2021

Position:  Forward

Fort Wayne Spacemen co-Captain Jared Fisher has committed to play hockey at Castleton University in Vermont for the 2021-2022 season. Castleton is an NCAA Division III program in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).

Fisher, a Fort Wayne native who has been with the Spacemen since their inception in the 2019-2020 season, has led the team in scoring both seasons. Fisher plans on studying business.

Spacemen Head Coach Kaleigh Schrock says “We are proud of Jared and it’s fitting that he is our first NCAA D-3 commit in our short history. He’s helped put our program on the map and on his back at times during the last two years. I’m thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to work with a young man of his character and excited to see what he’ll become.”

Position:  Goalie

Lance was accepted into the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics and will play for the ACHA D2 University of Kentucky Hockey Team for the 2020-2021 season.

"We are thrilled for Lance and know how much value he will bring to Kentucky's program. He's an asset on any team by the way he treats his teammates and how hard he works every day. Lance still has a high ceiling on the development side as well. We were impressed with his growth and know he still has upside." – Coach Schrock

Position: Right Wing

Trey will attend Purdue University Northwest and play for the ACHA D2 PNW Hockey Team for the 2020-2021 season.

"Trey's will to win is second to none. He's an energizer bunny on the ice and never stops moving. His endurance and speed impact both ends of the ice and he’ll be an impact player right away for Coach Kevin Cole. I'm proud of how Trey has matured off the ice and excited that he's earned this opportunity." – Coach Schrock

Position: Forward

"Kevin was a guy who came in last year and really had an impact on our program from the day he walked through the door. Not only was Kevin a leader on and off the ice, but he was a player we could rely on in any situation. Kevin was respected by his teammates and coaches and we will truly miss him next year. However, we wish him the best of luck at Lindenwood University. Lindenwood is not only getting a great hockey player, but they're getting an even better person. Congrats Kevin." - Coach Moles

Position: Left Wing

Brandon will attend Purdue University Northwest and play for the ACHA D2 PNW Hockey Team for the 2020-2021 season.

"Brandon's a player that has all the tools to play the game at a high level. He can skate, shoot, and has a body frame for college hockey. I'm proud of Brandon as I've seen him grow as a high school player and looking forward to seeing him progress at the college level." – Coach Schrock
